Look I am hard on pharma, I am called an "anti vaxxer" like 10x a week when I don't even talk about it but your take is as dumb as the take of "vaccines are safe an effective". A claim that equalizes them all.
If they "don't work" at all, show me a kid today with Chicken Pox.
Do I think that vax is good, no, it is blowing up Shingles in older people but I also can't say it doesn't work (prevent infection and spread). I also can't say what it will mean for shingles in another 35-45 years.
Still you can't just equate all these different things.

We have chickenpox parties, not vaccines, to thank for overcoming this incredibly innocuous virus.
Better yet, children who got chicken pox naturally were in a better place for handling shingles later in life. Natural immunity is robust and confers across pathogen classes.
