i would be interested in them watching stories that are whole
that are crafted with seriousness that stories deserve
when you are asking for time from someone, when you are asking for an audience, to me, it warrants care

the jim henson storyteller series is a wonderful example of this
black sails is also a wonderful example of this
where game of thrones is not
one of my favorite aspects of black sails is the fathom's deep podcast
it was really lovely to listen to the actors & writers talk about approaches
it was really lovely to see fans do deep character analysis
from a content rating standpoint
of: explicit violence, sex, etc
game of thrones & black sails are pretty on par
in what im speaking to tho, they are galaxies apart
in this way, would i let a teenager of mine watch black sails long before i was like: yea whatever you want free reign
does that make sense? i dont know if i put that into words well enough
like yo kid you are king of your own alexandria library now. please spend time wisely. please never continue reading a book or watching a show you dont enjoy.
