I think the first candidates are really a subset of any community that currently uses Twitter. But Nostr could be the base for so much more than a Twitter-like experience.

Bitcoiners is still the answer. There is a bitcoin economy being created on nostr, people will be coming here to participate + build and that’s going to bring enough Bitcoiners in (many of them new) to get this bootstrapped.
It’s the one group Elon needed to build his X/WeChat vision. Digital money enthusiasts who could have bootstrapped a Twitter economy will be building it on nostr instead.
If Elon had embraced the opportunity to pair twitter with bitcoin his position now would be much stronger. But he is a govt subsidised shitcoiner at heart who wants to push doge onto the twitter populace and pump his own bags. This is playing out beautifully.
