You should still wear a mask while you drive to reduce your carbon footprint, experts say.
There, a CBC headline for you

They live in the 80s I see
They live in a perpetual state of denial.
Sounds like America.

The Americas are damned in this way… until they choose to do something about it.
I mean like, the whole Americas.
I'd never paint the Americas w/ that broad a brush.
Probably because you don’t have grandparents who have governed states & lived through multiple coups.
No. Where again are your grandparents from?
British Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Brazil, Suriname, South Africa, London, & International Waters. Massachusetts circa 1750.
I would add Canada for my grandmother’s elderly years, but she wouldn’t like that too much 😋 she left when she found out how many indigenous were killed in Canada.
The Americas were built on fresh blood.
An experiment.
A result of colonialization.
Doesn’t know if it’s new or fresh,
Or the link of hope to the concept of Democracy.
It is ridden with war, massacre, coup, fight over control;
Yet, it has potential, civil liberators, freedom, capitalism- not without a fight.
Much of it is a result of partition form entities who didn’t understand its geography… all at conflict with culture, region, finance, power.
I tend not to see trauma as a defining characteristic, I think that's healthier for all involved.
We do as a family legacy have standards to uphold - and she would not live or support on a land cursed by genocide.
What’s happening in Canada is a glamorous coup.
There is something about the New World that constantly generates seizures of power.
My family have been witnessing it for over 100 years, as public servants.
wow
