With regards to Palestine though and Israeli justification of "we need to bomb everything because there is Hamas everywhere", that was obviously a convenient excuse and a lie. Israeli objectives are very clear from all the evidence - they want to genocide and demolish everything.

This is getting away from the original point of this thread but Israel wants to push the Palestinians into the surrounding countries. In the case of Gaza this was pushing them into the Sinai peninsula. Egypt knows this and is not letting them in.
