Did you find it absurd? Study monetary theory and Greshram's Law.

And this guy wrote this almost FIVE HUNDRED years ago... Nice axiom!

Depending on where you are there are two axioms with respect to Bitcoin:

Will Bitcoin drive Fiat out of circulation?

Or,

Will Fiat drive Bitcoin to be hoarded & out of circulation?
