A very quick internet search of the history of revolution shoes there are at the very least three successful non-violent revolutions in the past 100 years, arguably even as many as 20 depending a little on the definition of "peaceful revolution".
So i guess real revolution can be achieved through non violent means as some of these led to significant regime changes.
