Ya it's pretty stupid. I suspected the developer of Amethyst must of gotten a good amount of money to add it.

Not me. I wouldn't sell my soul for money.
My issue is not about the pronouns, my issue is more that it adds no value to nostr since it's not standardized and you can't search they pronouns.
So adding it to your profile was fine. Time & resources couldn've been spent elsewhere. Many other people felt this way too.
Hmmm, saying he's selling his soul by adding a field that has subjective meaning to a few is making a mountain out of a molehill doncha think? So what if it doesn't add value to you specifically? Is the dev on your salary or anybody elses? Is he subject to your standard of what is a rightful use of "time and resources"? Is his freedom to do what he wants with his pet project (that he gives to us for free and open source btw) subject to a democratic vote because "many people felt this way too"?
Freedom is a funny thing that people scream for when they don't have it, but insist on stiffling when they feel they have any amount of power to control something they don't like.
