I've been looking for a FOSS, cross-platform ereader that could enable me to migrate away from Kindle. So far, I'm loving Readest.

Gonna have to check this out!
I use readest. Calibre is powerful but just doesn't feel right
Agreed. Appreciate Calibre's OG status, but UX is terrible.
I want a reader where I can plug in a nostr:nprofile1qqsdy27dk8f9qk7qvrm94pkdtus9xtk970jpcp4w48k6cw0khfm06mspp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg4waehxw309ahx7um5wghx77r5wghxgetk9uj8qus8 api code and get the book adjusted. For example I couldn't find "the hobbit" in Spanish but Claude works beautifully to translate it in style to "simple Chilean Spanish for 8yo" but I'd need to translate few pages at a time ...
The ebook reader could retain the original language for reference.
Love the idea! Submit a PR?

They have deepl integration already which I think cannot provide the full translation for simple language for a child for example.
