Our second year of HOMESCHOOLING

📖 🏖️ 🏡

What we’ve discovered:

Waaaaay easier the second year because you know what you’re doing and knowledge = the ability to personalise the routine & approach even more.

Homeschooling will also open up surprising opportunities that you may not have planned for.

Not being tied down to a bricks & mortar school meant that we cld sell up and travel.

The increased family time is such a priceless win. Take yesterday for example, we found a shipwreck on the beach so started digging it out.

Just an average day when you embrace freedom.

Note:

The sacrifice can be real though.

We have one parent working full time & one doing the home school.

But as we all know, with Fiat constantly debased, a single income family is further from reach.

This year I’ve passed the schooling torch to my man so that he can take a rest from FT work and just enjoy the kid.

I’m working longer hours but enjoying the change.

Wondering what our next step will be…

How does your son feel about having to spend a second year training a new teacher just when you were starting to get good at it 😂?

Not dissing your world or choices, i'm sure its awesome, just curious how he feels about this situation. Are you gonna flip flop each school year - genuinely curious.

Great question!

In dec 2024 I asked him what do you want the next year to be about?

He replied… fishing with dad, camping with dad and more time, you guessed it, with dad. 😝

The crazy thing is, his father is a much more organised and patient teacher so this swap has been a huge win for all.

Now that we know this, we will take each year as it comes but looks like dad will continue.

You're creating the dream you're living 🤘

Love!!!🧡
