For the government to intervene a problem in a society, at least following should to be taken into account:

- the problem should be clearly identifiable and affecting the majority of people in a harmful way

- the solution should be relatively easy and cost-effective to implement (we shouldn't confiscate and destroy people's property and capital by introducing excessively high tax- and/or monetary inflation policies, regardless of the severity of the problem we face, or take huge risks with solutions that might have severe negative side effects to other people)

- the benefits of the solution should clearly outweigh the drawbacks

- access to the evidence of the problem and the solution should be available to everyone.

If all of the above conditions are not met, then we shouldn't have government intervention.

Since the “purpose” of government is exclusively “intervention”, your requirements can never be met. Therefore the only way to get rid of government intervention is to get rid of government.
