Hectic, i'm in South Africa and even we don't have setups like this, we can still touch the stuff ourselves, smell it and drop it on the floor by accident!
In high homelessness areas, they lock up personal hygeine supplies. I assume because theyre the most frequently stolen, but you only have to think for a half beat before realizing just how fucked up that is.
That is bleak reading, stealing is a big no but when it comes to food and basic necessities for life you really have to do a doubletake and think how hard do you have to be squeesed to feel that nicking a roll on or a block of cheese is worth the risk. Also these lock up measures, security, insurance only add more expenses for the business who then pass it on to the customer and so more people aren't able to afford things
It's to avoid people drinking these...
Theft is rampant everywhere around me. More and more stores closing/reducing self-checkout, increasing security, etc.
It all started with the Tide Pods.
Now they locking up all the Tide lol 😂
It’s just a liquidity crisis 🥁
10 years after the Tide Pod Challenge... this is our society 😔
