David, a little Italian lesson for your eyes only... :)

"Zucchina" (singular feminine) and "zucchine" (plural) are diminutives of "zucca" (pumpkin), meaning "little pumpkins".

Don't know why in English they are using the plural masculine word (zucchini) that doesn't exist in Italian.

Well, we are used to Italian food nouns being somehow distorted... who cares, just eat them ๐Ÿ’ช

PS I am in Brazil nowadays and found some sort of zucchine unknown to me, called "chuchu"... and I like them a lot!
