Good to see opencollective on nostr.

And it's also a good moment to point out that Trustroots will never issue tokens. It's a community of 120k+. There is no need for rewards. People contribute by being good guests and good hosts. Money or any form of token would spoil this.

We can have trust relations, and ideally we'll figure out a good way to do this on nostr, but we don't need (or want) tokens for this.

I understand the sentiment. And it’s totally worth pursuing.

In every community there are people who contribute at different levels (which could change over time). This creates an underlying currency (status, reputation, karma, …). The question is whether or not should we make it visible?

We don’t think that there is a good or bad answer to this, it’s highly depending on the community, what it does, its size, its context.

Our goal at Open Collective is to give communities the tools they need to operate in a transparent way towards their community.

It’s all opt in. It’s not for us to decide. We are just here to give you the tools you need to expose the currencies you want to expose. We started with petrodollars, but turns out there are many more currencies out there!
