Can confirm that all is stripped and discarded for images, nothing is seen or stored. Videos don’t normally have any private metadata unless it’s an official video that is encoded for distribution, where you will have things like copyrights, scenes, etc. 🐶🐾🫡
Videos don’t support a standard metadata type like exif data in images, either they don’t have metadata or it is proprietary and deeply encoded, so can’t always guarantee videos..
Photos use a standard exif metadata and yes it is all stripped out.
We do not see or save any metadata from images, videos or anything. nostr:npub137c5pd8gmhhe0njtsgwjgunc5xjr2vmzvglkgqs5sjeh972gqqxqjak37w can confirm this.
In theory Damus or any app could pull this exif data before sending to me, but the api doesn’t do this and I seriously doubt Will does this.
Nostr.build can get basic ip address -> location information, but we don’t monitor or share it..
