I didn’t get into Bitcoin for it to become the global currency. I wanted ancap money that I could use while living amongst Free Staters in New Hampshire.
It worked exactly that way in a small community, much like Nostr today. That tiny little bit of adoption felt like the biggest advance towards freedom and decentralization that I had ever seen.
Enjoy these moments. There’s no guarantee Nostr will grow as big and fast as Bitcoin, but it already feels like a win to me. 🤙

First it needs to be proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that this will work in the village and prove very valuable alone, without being a global communications protocol. Then it can become a global communicatios protocol.

The foundation seems set for Nostr to grow like crazy! I hope the momentum continues to build. I think it will. The incentives to join master are growing, and the barriers to entry are dropping. Would be a shame to see it stagnate as a small (but beautiful) echo chamber at this point.
There is a synergy between bitcoin and nostr. They will help each other grow.

That’s not the first time I’ve heard someone mention New Hampshire. I think the idea of a developing community looking for skills is neat. Is there anyone buying large acreage and doing this there?
