why is that. Have phone set to 3G - try not make calls actually and do everything by email using ethernet, but sometimes it cannot be avoided. 3G expected to be turned off in Dec 25 which means Ill be forced to use 4G

2G (GSM) uses time division multiple access (TDMA).

The phone transmits in rapid 217 Hz pulses (on/off bursts).

3G (UMTS) uses code division (CDMA).

It transmits in a more continuous, spread-out way.

Less pulsing = fewer sharp current spikes = weaker ELF fields
