TIL JFK's sister Eunice Kennedy founded the Special Olympics. And that JFK and his team almost died in the sea during WW2, he carried his friend on his back and swam him to the shore. This week's read is on the Kennedy's family. I've got 'JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters' by James W. Douglass. This book has one of the most amount of exploration of documents of the CIA, Joint Chief Staff, pissed off military industry over peace and more in bringing JFK down. If you have a particular book you have read about the Kennedy's family, would love to know about it.

The freemasons ? I've read a few possibilities which includes Jacqueline Kennedy, The Rothschild, his lovers etc. But none quite as complete and detailed the Douglass's piece. Other comparisons of writers who covered these era - Potash, Fanon, Chomsky, Lawrence Lipton as well as autobiographies and stories of popular celebrities of the time - Mohammad Ali, Bob Marley, Elvis, and more, the beatnik clash etc - all share a close resemblance on how CIA was ran and the control of the military industry during this time frame.

I think placing blame on one single point of failure is an incorrect take in this case (and many other larger than life stories)
