What do you expect to happen when the user “applies this mute to OP”?
- I expect to be able to mute everything starting from the original post. But the user may run into an issue where they don’t want to mute everything, just a specific thread (say someone decides to tag 100 people in a response which user would like to mute, but the user doesn’t want to mute the original post). In this case, I’d like to mute the specific thread.

- No, I would consider the bounty complete once the ability to filter out reposts, replies, etc from muted conversations was fulfilled.

I like this user story. However to increase the chance a dev completes the other bounty elements, I suggest you separate this from the bounty scope. I can add it to the list of requests on github.
