I'm not sure how they're installing things in particular on Graphene but, about 2-3 years ago, Google has uninstalled apps from my phone in the past. Just like that with a notification popping up that App XYZ has been removed "for my protection". That's when I finally got myself a Pixel

Last I heard Apple released a lockdown mode in iOS 16, designed to reduce the attack surface but apparently only for high-risk users.
