Once again major Israeli airstrikes hit the largest refugee camp in Gaza, Jabalia, not even 24 hours after the first massacre, which killed over 100 people. At least 50 others were killed and over 150 injured.

Palestinians were still digging for hundreds of bodies under the rubble in the vast crater where densely populated housing blocks stood when new bombs hit. Recent telecommunications blackouts since the early morning hours in Gaza blocked the flow of information.

Israel justified the massacre of hundreds of victims by saying it hit targets linked to the Gaza ruling armed group. According to the UN, there are some 116,000 registered refugees in the camp.
