Demonizing carbs so generaly is just incorrect. I agree most veggies are unneeded and can have unwanted consequences, including inflammation. Removing carbs completely for extended periods of time can become a stress on the body. Gluconeogenesis (the making of sugar from protein) is stressful on the body and is not sustainable in the long-term. Keto long-term is harmful and even the Inuit, who eat almost no carbs for an extended part of the year, have a genetic mutation to keep them out of ketosis for long periods.

Eating fruits, honey and easily digestible carbs like white rice & potatoes will easily get the body enough carbs to keep it from needing gluconeogenesis. Also, not going to bed without your liver glycogen stores topped off is a receipe for poor sleep.
