Carbs are good and the people that say they are bad are misinformed. The issue with bread is that 99% of bread in supermarkets is made with Seed oils. It’s not the carbs that are bad, it’s the carbs that are a vehicle for inflammatory oils getting into your body that are the problem. Making sure you get fiber while eating carbs is also mandatory. I fully believe the people that are on a carnivore diet are seeing success from avoiding seedoils not carbs.
Agree. But bread nutritionally is mostly filler. I eat plenty of carbs in fruits and vegetables. The more bread I eat the less meat and vegetables I can consume. It’s better to eat more meat and veggies. I should have just said I have been staying away from bread. But bread is not bad in of itself, it just less nutrient dense than some other foods.
For sure, definitely seems like you know your stuff. I just hate the idea of never having carbs again and I think this is a hard ask for most people. Instead, I think if we vilify the poor quality ingredients in our food more people will know to avoid those ingredients which will create real change in our food system. Just my two sats
