Does multi sig really make us safer or is it just more chances to screw something up? nostr:note14nkveqljmvptnly0nguh80uhfskg0m7fg0srvv93nvdw5dlyvcrqk2nyq0

I think there are use cases, not for me. πŸ€™

Definitely safer. It’s pretty straightforward once you know how to use it

Not that using it is hard, just that many ppl don’t realize your *backup* needs to include both 2/3, 3/5 seeds and all the xpubs (not just 2/3,3/5)

Definitely have to know what you’re doing when using multi-sig 🫑

I like this because wallets can run in parallel. Not necessary to put all eggs in one basket/wallet/address. Start with single-sig+passphrase, create a ss+shamir+pp, test and move from the first wallet to the new one. At some point create a multi-sig wallet and test.

yes and yes.

12 words is enough for me

If you can’t chew gum and walk at the same time, definitely don’t do multisig 😁
