Then why not just call them scammers? I know there are a lot of crypto currencies out there. As a person who isn’t into all of it, they all look about as scammy as the next. So the term is off putting from the outside looking in.

I think the reason the term came into use is to shame the superfluous pilferers of every sort of coin shaped ponzie scheme. Being sceptical is a good thing for people. Being accurately informed is better.

Valuable good people here like #[9]​ has spoken openly on his podcast nests about being shamed about his interests in other coins. But do we hate on him? No. I for one, will not. And I really hope others don’t either. Cause he’s great person… an AMAZING friend, who I highly value, highly love, & dearly respect. Listening is a learned skill, it’s more powerful to listen then to speak sometimes.
