Real estate and stocks are also things with a fairly fixed supply and therefore worth owning in an inflationary environment.

A company may issue more stock, but they do so carefully, not wanting to dilute the value of their stock.

They build more buildings, but only so many per year. Also there's only so much land and they're not really making more land now are they?

Youre right about that. There is only so much land. And I guess at the rate that we see inflation the s&p it will let you break even and move sideways.
