Well saving lives is a lil tongue in cheek…I mostly try to keep corporate medicine from doing more harm than good in their algorithmic zeal to run up the bill🤷🏽♂️
But I did see a tension pneumothorax and pulmonary embolus (they’ve skyrocketed in occurrence rate since 2020…hmm I wonder what change then🤔) today…look’em up they’re critical values
A friend of my wife is in a coma now because of pulmonary embolus out of no where, young woman healthy and now she's basically gone.
I uttered the diagnosis of “saddle emboli” (it’s the most dangerous form of it) prolly five times in 25 plus years of residency and practice and say it 2-5 times per month since 2020…it’s truly alarming!!!🙁…imho modern medicine is not ur fren

It is😳…imo ur medical care is like ur finances in that nobody cares about it as much as u do…ask questions and push back against or at least question any lab, imaging or recommended intervention that doesn’t sound right to u…u may really need it but it doesn’t hurt to ask…also research things online …unfortunately ul get bombarded with misinformation and all the possible worst outcomes and at times ul drive ur doc crazy with the minutia but remember u r revenue in the eyes of corporate medicine (which have a lot of control over any SALARIED healthcare provider)
it really isnt. alot of the nurses one on one are amazing people. even the doctors. but the system itself is captured
The doctor who sewed my ear back together was amazing. Based too. Everyone there really wanted to help.
Big Pharma docs are the worst. Captured. Every problem looks like a prescription.
