People who attend conferences - genuine question.. what’s the biggest outcome you’ve ever received from paying to listen to people speak? With technology - majority of these conferences will be online either on the day or a couple weeks afterwards..

Is it about meeting people in person?

Anyone go to the early BTC conferences that you see on YT where AA was speaking.

If I ever went, it would be for socialising and meeting likeminded people… I’ve never been though, my anxiety kicks in 😂

Yeah.. it’s tough… introvert.com is where I fit in.. 🤣🤣

People say I’m not introverted - I disagree - I don’t like walking up to people to make convo, but if someone walked up to me I can chat forever 🤣 - don’t know what you call that … inter-extrovert

I’m the exact same.. I hate cold calling but if it’s a warm intro I can close the deal…

BTC is also very taboo where I’m from as the education is so weak from a national citizen

What do you mean it’s taboo? People are completely against it? - I live in the UK and most people I chat to think it’s a joke. They’re all trying to get rich quick - don’t understand the long term value it has. It’s really disappointing. And then the other country I’m also a citizen of - all crypto assets are banned… lol ……….. no comment.

Bud, there are 3 people in my circle whom I can talk about BTC with..

Wife and her family don’t wanna hear about it and my mates haven’t put the time and effort into studying it.. they still believe the traditional way of saving / investing.

Suppose gives us BTC maxis more chance to stack more sats which is lovely but then again I am a person who wants to help but if people don’t wanna help themselves..

I have no one irl to talk about BTC with. It’s a lonely space lol. I laugh cause it just makes me think how early we really are. I started a YouTube channel last year to create a community, help people learn about bitcoin and web3, and mainly self custody of assets. This is therapeutic to me.

Also I wanted to add if you want to try to meet bitcoiners irl there’s this app called the Orange Pill App, it helps you network with local bitcoiners, maybe that may be of use to you. Feel free to use my invite link, you’ll get 5,000 Sats on joining - bear in mind this is a paid app… so they can try stop bots and stuff from entering.

But yeah I feel like we’re ahead of the curve - risk takers to the public but we’re well read hence see it as no risk. Looking forward to the next 10 years seeing how it goes.
