NIMBY about geothermal energy

https://coloradosun.com/2023/09/03/geothermal-plant-chaffee-county-opposition/

Rural areas in Colorado could have some geothermal production. BUT you need

- power transmission lines

- a faciliity

- no risk of well water pollution

and other things the locals don't want.

I wonder when the state will do something like the wolf reintroduction vote & just override the rural parts of the state.

They voted to switch to fully geothermal energy infrastructure (and they are using it a lot for a long time).Engineers were asked to set timeline. For small isolated country of little needs rich in geothermal it will take 50 years to achieve it
