I wonder if that's because what can be labelled a poison is not binary. Small doses of those things are not poison, but people take them at doses that are detrimental to health.

I didn't mean "healthy", I mean't "not a poison". A drop of Ricin on your tongue would kill you, a drop of beer would not.
One breath of cigarette smoke could give you lungcancer! It’s not probable but possible. Each round of any game makes it more probable to win one of those lotteries! You also can smoke chain and get 111 years old, also not very probable but possible. The most people life in the middle of the normal distribution!
