Is difficulty raised when designing for underground?

Yes, underground construction is more challenging than overhead.

However, underground electrical infrastructure is more durable, and many power distribution utilities build underground where possible.

It’s O-Calc Line Design. This used to get done in PLS CAD, but most utilities have moved to O-Calc.

I didn’t know you work in power! I recently started at an energy software company.

What kind of software do you work on?

I work in accounting so don’t do the programming but we do forecasting, power line monitoring, load management, etc.

Nice. Somebody gotta make sure those power lines work after somebody designs them.
