Wow,
First of all, i have to comment on how soothing the voice of this man is 😅 very soothing.
On the other hand, i’m grateful that i’m a good sleeper and am able to sleep 8h most days and wake up feeling rested.
Also have the privilege of mostly being able to organize my schedule around my needs, and that sometimes means working late and sleeping in.
I have many people i love who have very big problems sleeping and more importantly not waking up well rested.
Sleep is so important that it sucks that so many people are forced to societal rythmes and schedules that don’t match their own cycles 🥲
While the creator has his own cultural lens , i believe his insight are relevant to all of us , and most of his point are historically accurate , LMK your thoughts
There's some truth to that. We Muslims still have to get up at sunrise, and we're encouraged to maybe take a 30-minute nap around noon. And during those long nights, you'd get up after 3 hours and stay awake for another 1 or 1.5 hours. I've never bought into that whole idea of sleeping 8 hours straight that most fitness enthusiasts promote. After 8 hours of sleep—if I even manage to do that—my brain feels like mush.
100% oversleeping is very counterproductive for me too , and naps are important I don’t know how they went “out of style” and are looked down on
