You can always just buy some plain jars in bulk, it might be even cheaper. As long as you have a decent label on there I don't think it's an issue either way.

Maybe if packed carefully. Lots of bubble wrap or paper confetti surrounding the product, and in a box just big enough so it doesn't move around a lot.
