Notice how some of the bombers had missiles loaded under the wings? Ukraine directly stopped an imminent cruise missile attack, and many more in the future.
The best path to peace is killing Russians and blowing up their stuff.

The point of firing a cruise missile from a plane is that the plane adds significant height and speed to the missile. If you launched them on the ground, in the bases, you don't have enough range to hit what you're trying to hit.
I would have to look up avg range of Russian missiles to see an effective launch radius. I think they would be fine, but don't have enough knowledge to even be 90% on that statement

Those parked aircraft (being damaged by Quadcopters) were part of the SALT treaties agreed with the USA when the Soviet Union still existed. They had nothing to do with the current Ukraine conflict.
