Speaking as someone who nearly started HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) as a younger adult and changed my mind at the last minute, what made me change my mind was the fact that such a transition carries huge personal sacrifice. I did not want to be sterile, regardless if I eventually decide to have kids or not.

The final dealbreaker for me was the fact that I could never naturally birth children. I was jealous as a kid that I could never experience that, and that I could only begin the process for someone else.

I have long since worked past those feelings and accepted who I am as a biological male. I enjoy crossdressing at times and I always ask if it would make others uncomfortable if I do so. I do not seek to push any sort of identity onto others, as I hope they would make that consideration for me.

That being said, I will always respect how someone chooses to identify as that is their life and not my choice to make for them. The problem begins when society and government works to place one class of people arbitrarily above another. This is typically the cause of racism, sexism, etc.

Also as the article mentions, when one class of people has natural strength advantages over another, the stronger class should not be placing the weaker class into avoidable situations where they may be taken advantage of or harmed.

I understand my viewpoints may offend others, but I fully respect others to disagree and hold their own point of view.
