We can’t be scared of doing the right thing because the other side may retaliate later. We are not talking about grandma’s bakery getting debanked because she doesn’t agree with Trump.

There’s no “other side”. You’re alienating people from the “right thing” with this type of approach (creating future problems for your moral mission).

Yes, there is, and you’re the one that alluded to that by saying things can blow back in 4 years, meaning the other political party can win the election, i.e the other side.
