this band is probably one of the key elements of how i developed a taste for industrial music

there is also others, Big Black, notably, but these guys were the pinacle of the early days of harsh industrial techno

Fuck yes Big Black. What about Godflesh? I saw them live a couple years back and they were phenomenal!

i'm not familiar with godflesh but the name i am familiar with... will have to listen now

Oh boy you're going to have a good time. Start early in the discography.

While we're at it, check out "Author & Punisher" and be sure to find a video or something to get a sense of how he makes his music. He's a one-man band using custom built triggers made out of hunks of metal that he plays live. (Again, start with his older stuff. Harsher, more industrial/Doom)

ah yes, the industrial metal sound... more like metal than techno... no, that's not my preference, but i get it, it's just not my thing

i mean, i would dance to this, but just wouldn't buy the cd

Ah okay yea I'm more of a metal guy so when it comes to industrial I lean hard in that direction

cool to meet a fellow Big Black fan tho... not many of us out there

Might not be your thing but I'm a Shellac fan, too. Most things Steve Albini touches are quite good

oh yeah, this is more in the direction of the dead kennedys... another favourite of mine... the surf rock drums and the funk bass and the jarring guitar sounds... this is nice stuff, i remember hearing of this band also, probably heard them even...

you'd probably like alice donut too then: https://youtu.be/vZt3UFdQ-KI
