If you don't follow yourself, you won't see your own posts. It would be like you post something and turn away immediately.

Very early on, we realised that clients felt more intuitive if you followed your own content. We just didn't decide to hide this from users like all other platforms do.

Why even allow yourself NOT to follow yourself?

Who knows, maybe someone will find a unique use case or develop some killer feature or some killer app that works better when you don't follow yourself and it becomes the popular thing that drives everyone to nostr! 🤷🏻
