add iris.to in front of it and boom you have a Nostr profile link that you can share easily

If your NIP05 is _@example.com the link is even shorter: iris.to/example.com

Let's practise a bit to get short shareable #nostr profile links:

@jack has jack@cash.app so his shareable address is https://iris.to/jack@cash.app

If you have a nostr.directory address like PrestonPysh you can use it: https://iris.to/prestonpysh@nostr.directory

How about an Alby-address? See yourself: https://iris.to/sirius@getalby.com

What if I don't have any of the above?

npub format works also: iris.to/npub180cvv07tjdrrgpa0j7j7tmnyl2yr6yr7l8j4s3evf6u64th6gkwsyjh6w6

You can also use these addresses on Iris search bar to get to the user profiles.

ok stupid question, is username unique on nostr?

The username that you can change in "edit profile" is not unique. However, nip05 names such as sirius@iris.to are unique.

Yes, it should work if you save it into the nip05 field in your profile.

The address works, but you need to add glow@getalby.com to your profile so it works :) Now you have just "getalby.com"

How will other nostr clients interpet this? I don't want to spam them with Iris links. I want it to be a native experience for them too.
