To see yourself as worthless is to essentially declare that anyone who attempts to do something for you is devoting their time & energy to worthlessness. To condemn yourself is to condemn everything.

All the worst people I’ve known loved her. She seemed like a miserable person.

Well she certainly was not perfect.

The people I know who dislike her generally haven't read her work, or they read some portion of it & they hate the fact that they see themselves in her antagonists.

What sort of behaviors characterize "the worst people you've known" ?
