Solar is literally is one of the only sovereign forms of energy. What else can you put on your property to create electricity? (Most don’t have running water for hydro)

It may not be the most efficient way to create energy but it allows the average joes to produce their own energy and doesn’t need to replace other forms of power generation. It’s not a winner takes all type of thing.
