The console is where you launched gossip from (if you didn't just click an icon). Use a terminal and type "gossip" and the output will be in that terminal.

Gossip doesn't yet store other people's contact list data. We will get there eventually. Other clients found this to be important, our priorities are different, so you can do this on another client. No need to use just one.
