Its your patriotic duty to lie on your taxes. Withholding funds from the government ensures they stay with rational market participants and at least have the possibility of being used in a productive manner.

That's a good point. I didn't think about that angle. Lying to defend your property from people who want to steal it seems like a good thing to do. At that point, all that matters in the end is if you can prevent the theft.

What about undoing all the theft that already happened?

Lying to a thief to prevent violence is fine, but it will never be enough to slay the tax dragon

Lying is a solid Plan B (if your OPSEC is any good).

I'd say duty to kids can supercede patriotic duty, so yes, a solid plan B in that case
