Today I sealed my fate at work. I bid for the overnight shift next year starting in February. This is in preparation for an upcoming promotion that will put me on night shift. Figured I might as well get used to it beforehand. Going to be hard but it'll be worth it, hopefully...

Good luck friend. Try to plan 3 steps ahead so you can get off the night shift as quickly as possible. 1 year is better than 5. 3 years better than 6.
