The amount of things people will make up in their own mind simply because they want it to be true is staggering.
I'm confronted with people's self delusion on a daily basis, we truly live in a clown world.

There’s quite a lot of unhappiness and dissatisfaction to go around.. it has a way of spreading. Recognising it tho is important.
I suppose you're right, it could stem from discontent. We need more stoics.

We are indeed. There are objectively true things (congruent with the laws of physics and nature) and things that are false (incongruent)
I forget this sometimes also, but I have clients every day that completely throw logic out the window in a vain attempt to achieve their goals.
