Everything is great in the city but the Fuji mountain is not too far. Definitely a must-see.

We will be headed to Osaka and Kyoto as well, taking the train past Mt. Fuji. If we were to stop to get a longer look where would you suggest?
Great choices! I visited Kawaguchiko from Tokio in the region of Five Lakes, north of Mt Fuji. Hakone is a nice place too on the way from Tokio to Osaka.
