#madeira #asknostr any tips for a vet who can deal with a cat that has bad gingevitis, eye- and ear-mites

i've brought his condition up a lot by feeding him a lot of good argentine beef but it feels like he needs dental surgery to fix the problems in his mouth and some more strong interventions to deal with the eyes and ears

i mean, his fur is mostly silky, now, but just these last items in the list, idk what to do to get them solved... and the sao vicente vet inspired zero confidence from me, ok, he did a good neutering but that was it, the rest, the antibiotic, the general care to assess his health issues, zero, nada confianca

Is he a house cat or does he go outside and wander. If so keep him indoors for a while.

he literally barely wants to go outside, if i leave the door open for an hour he might actually go out there but generally not

i think he is in a lot of pain, all the time

i left a cat with my mother that had mild gingevitis and at some point she took her to the vet and turned out extracting a tooth and cleaning the gums under it made her into such a happy kitty that my mother had to kick her out because she was such a monster for the lap, and my ma is a compulsive fibre artist and her fur was literally interfering with her spinning work (she was a medium hair black cat)

If I became your cat, would you feed me argentine beef?

Keep him in house forever, never let out. Treat it as it is his house, you just squat there. See if you can still fit some of your furniture after remodelling.

Best he should eat raw food but BALANCED. Look up abbreviation BARF

Find a good vet, drive miles if you have to. There is aplenty crappy ones, good ones or even not bad are worth their weight in gold.

well, he's not gonna present a problem for wanting to go outside, he already doesn't want to go outside

as for "raw" not sure what that means... i buy beef and veal in big frozen chunks so that means not cooking it? he also eats cooked shellfish at times too, he likes it more than i do

but yeah, 1000% did not like the vet i took him to last time, so maybe i try the one in the other town the other side from me, in Santana. if that's not good then i can try another one later but this next appointment will be getting his gingevitis sorted out, i think that once that is fixed his sinus problem will be solved as i'm quite sure that the rotten tooth is incubating bacteria that keep on seeping upwards into his sinus
