But the „renote“ button in #Damus not giving the option to quote is what I experience here currently.

Whatever the name of this button is…

It should give the option to quote or just repost/boost in #Damus imo.

Yep.

You know that at the moment you can copy note id and paste it into the new note (adding the @ sign before it), right?

Obviously much less convenient, but wanted to make sure you can quote notes 😅

I use Damus both on my iPhone and mac so I use the «Share Via» feature to bookmark notes with Signal

I usually use the three dots right top corner and choose bookmarks in #Damus.
