Will the backup token work further down the line? I made a copy of it before flashing an old pixel over to grapheneos.

Yes it works but It is a very simple implementation and isnt actually a backup... It just creates a token from your current ecash state and related mints.
If you create the backup token and in between continue send token and change the state of the wallet, the Backup token will include invalid proofs (partially already spent tokens)
Hope this makes it a bit understandable without going into much Detail.
An appropriate seed phrase Backup will be implemented asap.
