Has anyone built a nostr app that can support the Buy Nothing groups, with gives and asks for stuff we want to give away to neighbors? Given the global reach this might be tough to narrow down the location, but I think it would be a way to draw that market into Nostr. Especially with zaps allowing people to pay for goods and services with Bitcoin.

having an online local community is difficult, if you don't talk to your neighbors, I don't see why you have to do it online 😅, regarding nostr there are craiglist and maybe bitcoin meet up, and Nostr meet up..

I think local communities and connections, online or offline, should be encouraged as much as possible.
